The pages that decide the runtime
Isolated cloud, live steer, a pull request, and a trajectory you can hand to a reviewer. Every page below is dated 15 September 2026 and cites the vendor docs it used.
Rush Cloud is our product. These pages put it first, then describe the other runtimes from their own documentation. We do not invent review scores.

Devin alternatives
People search this because they want Devin's job (ticket, isolated cloud, pull request) without locking the Brain to Cognition. Devin did not get worse. The bill, the harness, and the proof object changed.
Alternatives · formerly Background Agents
Cursor Cloud Agents alternatives
Cursor renamed Background Agents to Cloud Agents in the 2.0 changelog (29 October 2025). The job is the same: an isolated VM, the Cursor Agent, a draft PR. Teams look here when they want that job without the Cursor editor as the center of gravity.

GitHub Copilot cloud agent alternatives
Copilot Workspace was a GitHub Next preview. It ended 30 May 2025. The product that shipped is Copilot coding agent, later renamed Copilot cloud agent in the docs. The job is issue or prompt to an Actions VM to a draft PR. Teams look here when the 59-minute cap, the GitHub-only repo rule, or the Copilot harness is the constraint.

Claude Code on the web alternatives
Anthropic hosts Claude Code in an isolated VM. You connect GitHub, submit a task, and review the PR. That page is official docs. This page is the commercial map around it: same harness on Rush, or a different harness on someone else's cloud.

Devin review
Devin is Cognition's autonomous software engineer. It writes and tests in an isolated Devbox and opens a PR on your SCM. The Brain always stays in Cognition's cloud. This page is a review with dates, not a score out of ten.

Cursor Cloud Agents review
Cloud Agents are Cursor's Agent in isolated VMs. They were Background Agents until Cursor 2.0 (29 October 2025). They can build, test, use a desktop, and open a draft PR. They require a paid Cursor plan.

Best cloud coding agents
Most 2026 lists compare editors, terminals, and a single vendor agent. The useful split is the job: isolated cloud, live or unattended steer, a pull request, and what you can show a reviewer when the run stops.

Best way to run Claude Code in the cloud
The query 'Claude Code in the cloud' is owned by Anthropic docs. The commercial question is which runtime holds the session: Anthropic, Rush, or GitHub's third-party agent preview.
